She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Soltis (Bernice Grenda Soltis) and Mary Ann Soltis; her siblings, Barbara and Stephen; her niece Lisa Anne Soltis; Patricia McBride.

She is survived by: her sister Teresa (Marvin Schwab) of Ijamsville, MD; her cousins, Victor Soltis (Linda) of Sarasota, FL, Linda Soltis and San Francisco; her friends, Suzann Stotlemyer of Frederick, MD and Betsy Kendall of Palm Springs, CA; her sister Christine Champion (Mynta West) of Delray Beach, FL; and her pet Penny.

After twelve years teaching, she fully retired in 2020 when the Covid pandemic began and her loss of voice made it difficult to teach.
