She was predeceased by: her husband Howard G. "Bud" Gartrell; her parents, George E. Morgan and Margaret Morgan Brown; her stepfather Clyde W. Brown; her siblings, James Morgan, Robert "Link" Morgan and Betty DeGrange; and her son-in-law Michael McLeod.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Vorlaufer (Robert) of Thurmont, Dawn McLeod of Frederick, Ronald Gartrell (Sharen) of Frederick and Dana White (Brian) of Woodsboro; her grandchildren, Kristen Brightful (Jamarr), Justin McLeod, Sara Little (Zack), Dalton White, Matthew Gartrell (Morgan) and Mackenzie White; and her great grandchildren, Colton Brightful and Kennedy Brightful (Barbara Kaetzel). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
