We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2026, at the age of 88, Patsy Ann Young (Frederick, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Whittington and Anne Whittington; her husband Fred W. Young, Jr.; her sons, Dale and Douglas; and her siblings, David, Jay, Richard, Barbara and Judy.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan McGinnis (Bob); her daughter-in-law Melanie Young; her grandchildren, Emily McGinnis-Wilkins (George), Adam McGinnis (Sarra), Samantha McGinnis and Derek Young; her great grandchildren, Indi McGinnis, Juniper Wilkins and Serena McGinnis; her sisters, Lynn Roberts and Cathy Slaughter; and her close friends, Pat, Nancy, Florence, Dotty and Delores. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
