He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry Holdcraft and Mary; and his sister Patricia Holdcraft Abrecht. He is survived by: his wife Becky M. Thompson Holdcraft of Frederick, MD.; his close friend Russ Holland; his brother-in-law Richard E. Palmer of Surfside Beach, SC; his sister Mary Margaret McQuitty (Steve) of Chambersburg, PA.; and his close friends, Debbie Holland, Jerry L. "Frog" Grove of Hagerstown, MD, Richard E. Palmer of Surfside Beach, SC, Matthew Sanders of Middletown, MD, Bill and Carol Campbell of Jefferson, MD.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Staffer Funeral Home (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702).
Mr. Holdcraft requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name be made to The Blackhorse Association, Inc. Attn: Scholarship Fund, 10605 Brookchase Court Louisville KY 40228, or plant a tree at Frederick County Fish and Game Protective Association, Point of Rocks, MD, or consider a donation to Frederick County Fire and Rescue.
