He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Platek and Phyllis Platek (Jurkiewicz); his sister Virginia; and his daughter-in-law Kristina Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Frey; his children, Michael Gordon of Brunswick, NY, Michele Spence (Adam) of Norwich, NY and Marianne Fromm (Eric) of Baltimore, MD.; his brother Michael Platek (Catherine Schunk) of Guilderland, NY; and his grandchildren, Kyle Gordon of Brunswick, NY, Emily, Leah, Tommy Spence of Norwich, NY, Leo and Edie Fromm (Baltimore, MD). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
