He is survived by: his wife Mary Caroline Hurt (Martell); his daughter Virginia Lee Everett; his grandchildren, Daniel Eakle (Alexandria "Lexie" Herman), Randi Boyer (Daniel), Mary "Katie" Everett (Colby Blizzard), Cody Everett and Katherine "Jersey" Uden; his great grandchildren, Sierra Boyer (Sunshine), Jonathan Boyer, Kriegan Eakle, Kerryn Eakle, James Boyer, Annabella Bordelon, Aria-Lea Boyer, Abigail Everett and Colton Blizzard; and his sister-in-law Doris Sweadner (Gareth).

A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Union Chapel Cemetery (11109 Daysville Rd, Frederick, MD 21701). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Quincy Community Center (8098 Anthony Hwy, Waynesboro, PA 17268).
