Wondimu Belete Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wondimu Belete (Frederick, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Wondimu departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wondimu may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wondimu leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Captain Belete Woldegiorgis; his wife Azeb Medifu; his son Nathan Wondimu; and his granddaughter Yemisratch (Rowan).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (515 S Market St, Frederick, MD 21701).
