He was predeceased by: his parents, William Meinecke and Frances Meinecke (Zacharda); his son Christopher Steven Meinecke; and his siblings, Jim Meinecke (Joan), John Meinecke, Bill Meinecke (Beverly), Norma Lang and Edward Meinecke (Sandra).

He is survived by: his wife Diana B. Meinecke (Collins); his daughters, Karen Lynn Riley and Cindy C. Meadowcroft (Bill); his grandchildren, Jennifer Lleras (Jaime), Lauren Robinson (Chris), Randi Bulkley (Ben) and Tom Meadowcroft; his great grandchildren, Delia, Lettie, Diego and Wade; and his pets, Molly and Albert.
