It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Joseph Cooper of Freeland, Maryland, who passed away on December 5, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Joseph Cooper to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leroy Jr. and Anna M. Cooper (Marron); and his brother Danny Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Lynn Cooper (Marsteller); his daughters, Jessica N. Beck (Benjamin) and Sarah M. Franklin (Andrew); his grandchildren, Joshua Z. Beck, Ava E. Beck, Eliana R. Beck, Rowan E. Franklin and Callen R. Franklin; his siblings, Beverly Daniels (Larry), Michael Cooper, Annmarie Albert (Tim), Billy Cooper (Donna), Steven Dooley (Lisa), Joan North and Chris Cooper (Diane); and his sister-in-law Robin Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mason Dixon Baptist Church (713 Campbell Rd, New Freedom, PA 17349).
