He was predeceased by : his parents, Russel Everett and Josephine O. Nelson (Biller); his son Michael James Nelson; and his siblings, Dorothy, Everett, Audrey, Edith and Donald.

He is survived by : his wife Agnes A. Nelson of Freeland, MD; his daughter Amy Michelle; his granddaughters, Sierra Faith and Madison Hope; his son-in-law Slade; and his brothers, Richard and Ronald Nelson. He is also survived by family members and friends.
