He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hostetler and Mary Hostetler; and his brother Gilbert. He is survived by: his daughter Linda (late William); his grandchildren, William Friend, Danny Thomas (Jaime), Amy Johnson (Marty), Michael Hostetler, Katie Hostetler (Clay) and Ashley Wilkins (Nick); his great grandchildren, Sophia, Mackenzie Thomas, Frankie Spriggs, Kit Matthews, Josey, Kylee, Royce Johnson, Kinsley and Ayda Wilkins; and his nephew Terry Hostetler.
