We bid farewell to Brenda Ann Ritchie of Frostburg, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 31, 2025 at the age of 67. Brenda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Garlitz and Wanda Garlitz (Warner); her siblings, Lisa Garlitz and Terry Garlitz; her nieces, Kimberly Minnick and Tabitha Garlitz; and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Garlitz.
She is survived by: her sons, Marty Ritchie (Lindsay) of Avilton, MD and Scott Ritchie (Keirsha); her grandchildren, Destiny, Leah, Luke, Zoey and Sophia; her siblings, Eugene Garlitz of Bedford, PA, Keith Garlitz (Rita) of Grantsville, MD, Rick Garlitz of Avilton, Renee Garlitz (Bob) of Avilton and Kathrina Mason (Dave); and her close friend Bruce Opel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
