The memory of Carla La'Rae (Simmons) McLaughlin of Frostburg, Maryland, who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 63, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Simmons and Betty Simmons (McClure); and her husband Robert McLaughlin. She is survived by: her children, Amanda Petenbrink (Richard) and Zachary McLaughlin; her stepchildren, Christopher McLaughlin and Crystal McLaughlin; her grandchildren, Alena and Andrew Kucharczyk; her stepgrandchildren, Alissa, Mark and Jayce McLaughlin; her siblings, Sheila Broadwater, Howard "Buck" Robertson, Bruce Simmons, Jr. (Melissa) and Sheryl Diehl (Brian); and her close friend Tracy Baker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
