He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bruce Howsare and Eleanor Howsare (Hite); his wife Stella Howsare (Stevens); and his siblings, Paul, Bill, John, George and Kathleen Sigler (Howsare).
He is survived by: his children, Leonard Howsare, Jr. (Karen), Kathy Skidmore (Chris) and Bill Howsare (Sasha); his brother Royce Howsare (Pauline) of Columbia, SC; and his grandchildren, Jenny Harrison (Aaron), Sarah Ford (Ryan), Emily Howsare, Logan Howsare, Ethan Howsare and Josh Howsare. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
