She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rice and Freda Hott Rice; and her siblings, Millie Lou Lynn, Eva Belle Morgan, James Nevon Rice and Clarence "Bud" Rice.
She is survived by: her husband George A. Thomas of Frostburg; her children, Michele Dobson, Jan Gaines (Paul), Brenda Hansel (Steven), Terri West (Donald), Patti Thomas and Marty Thomas (Amy); her sister Audrey Glass; her daughter Georgann; her granddaughter Megan Carney; her great grandchild Madi Nelson; her sister Michele; and her granddaughters, Jennifer Race, Rebecca Kerling, Jessica McKenzie and Stacey Bleecker. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
