It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Palmer Koontz of Fruitland, Maryland, who passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin "Kibby" Davis Palmer and Mary Beatrice Engel Palmer; her brother Calvin; and her husband Robert Brent "Bob" Koontz. She is survived by: her daughter Sherri; her son-in-law Jim; her granddaughters, Margaret "Maggie" and Canie; her siblings, Loretta Frame and Bruce Palmer (Pat); and her sister-in-law Marty Hill (Doug). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
