Eric Leatherbury Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Leatherbury of Fruitland, Maryland, who passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Eric find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest J. Leatherbury, Sr. and Frances Beckett Leatherbury. He is survived by: his girlfriend Theresa Shockley; his children, Marquis Leatherbury (Raynisha), Jordan Maddox and Daneria Hamlett (Antwon); and his brothers, Ernest Leatherbury, Jr. (Michelle) and Frank Leatherbury. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (528 Booth St, Salisbury, MD 21801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery (6827 E New Market Ellwood Rd, Hurlock, MD 21643).
