He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Wooten and Roselle Mary Wooten; his former wife Golda Mae Wooten; his sister Virginia Shupe; his son Gregory Dean Wooten; and his grandson Andrew Jackson Hughes III.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Wooten; his children, John (Betsy), Jeff (Sherry), Wanda, Jackie (Jeff), Jennifer (Cindy), Wendy (Howard), Tamey (Mark) and Dawn (Javier); his sister Geraldine Ball; and his close friends, Bill and Marilyn Townsend. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
