It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alverta Mae Sullivan (Gaithersburg, Maryland), who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenza Dell and Louise Johnson (Musgrove) of Howard County, MD.; and her siblings, Helen Johnson, Betty Day (Johnson), Thelma Pegg (Johnson), David "Petey" Johnson, Edwin "Sonny" Johnson and Michael "Mickey" Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Edens (Dennis "Mickey") of Monrovia, MD, Linda Sullivan of Burtonsville, MD, Randolph "Randy" Sullivan (Suzanne) of Boonsboro, MD and Louise Carrigan (Matthew "Matt") of Silver Spring, MD; her grandchildren, Randolph "Randy" Sullivan Jr., Mary Talbot (Mark), Rachel Naylor (Kyle), Shawn Venable (Erica Watkins), Samuel "Sam" Venable, Matthew Carrigan II, Samantha Carmine (Sebastian) and Michael "Mike" Carrigan (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Cole, Natalie Talbot, Brynn Venable, Isaac Naylor and Raelynn Carrigan; and her husband Louis Sullivan.
