It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dharmalatha Deheragoda of Gaithersburg, Maryland, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Weerahennedige Henry Edwin Fernando and Merennege Lily Emlin Fernando; her husband Mohan Nimo Deheragoda; her grandson Reno Carlitti; and her siblings, Kusuma Thambugala, Amitha Weerawardhana and Sumanasiri Gomes.
She is survived by: her daughter Renuka Carlitti (Rocco); her grandson Roman Carlitti (Kerry); her sister-in-law Constance Mary Gunasekera; and her niece Amanda Gunasekera Perera. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home (1500 W Braddock Rd, Alexandria, VA 22302).
