With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mary Yates (Gaithersburg, Maryland), who passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 105. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband George Albert Yates; her son Paul (Lesley); her granddaughters, Alicia Scott (Robert), Lois Haley (John) and Miriam Winkler (Chris); her great grandchildren, Morgan Haley, Olivia Fenton, Johnnie Elyse Haley, Octavia Scott, Luke Haley, Owen Scott, Gavin Haley, Grey Haley, Ellie Winkler, Paul Haley, AJ Winkler, Summer Haley and Gracie Winkler; and her great great grandchildren, Safa Haley and Jack Fenton.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Redeemer (19425 Woodfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879).
Dolly requests anyone wishing to show their respect to be in the form of a donation to her favorite charity to help children in Uganda.
