“I only met Irv twice, but he was a regular in our store with his frequent funny phone calls. His curmudgeonly persona incorporated a deadpan sense of humor. My regional manager, Mike, said "he's the one guy I don't have to visit because he keeps a perfect store," though I could tell he was a softie by the way he talked about his son and new grandchild. In the words of Norman Geenbaum's song Spirit in the sky "he's going to the place that's the best."”

“Irv, Words can not explain how much I will miss you, you took a chance on me 5 years ago and made me your assistant and for that I will forever be grateful. Within those 5 years I got to know you, you became family to me. You gave me good advices, you comforted me when I was sad. You were there for me as family would and I will forever cherish that. You lived a long fulfilled life and you got to meet your grandson, we will celebrate that. I thank God I got to talk to you on the 15th. RIP Irv.”
