Joanne McCartney Thomas Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 3, 2023, at the age of 92, Joanne McCartney Thomas of Gaithersburg, Maryland, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. McCartney and Alice McCartney (Leckey); her sister Janet Yoder; and her husband Earl William Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA.. She is survived by: her sons, Douglas and Gregory (Conni Smiley); her grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew and Kyle; her daughter Karen (Gary Rubino); her grandchildren, Kristin, Erica, Amy, Julie and Douglas (Laurie); and her great grandchildren, Ian and Derik. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions be sent to the Howland United Methodist Church for missions' outreach through the Methodist Committee for Overseas Relief (MCOR).
