She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Hitchens and Ethel Hitchens; her husband Ernest Bensley; her daughter Margaret "Peggy" Fitzwater (late Leonard Fitzwater); her grandson Michael Fitzwater; her siblings, Marie Lowry (late Hilary), Richard Hitchens (late Leta Schultz) and Paul Hitchens (late Betty); and her nieces and nephews, Hillary, Les, Bernie and Michael.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Michelle Hallett; her nephew Gary; and her niece Nancy.
