We announce the death of Patricia DeSimone (Gaithersburg, Maryland), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Lennon and Isabell Lennon; her siblings, Michael, Karen and Stephen; her former husband James Fitzgerald McIlvaine; her husband Robert "Butch" DeSimone; her boyfriend Joseph "Joe" Enslow; her son Michael McIlvaine; and her grandson James McIlvaine.

She is survived by: her children, Kelly McIlvaine and Kevin McIlvaine; her grandchildren, Airen, Laura, Allie, Kevin, Hailey, Samantha and Timothy; and her great grandchildren, Gypsea, Jaylynn, Michael, Alexa, Emmett, Liam, Rowen, Elias, Emily, Everett and Elouise.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barber Funeral Home (21525 Laytonsville Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi (6701 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Montgomery Country Club (20908 Golf View Dr, Laytonsville, MD 20882). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
