James W. Preston Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Preston of Gambrills, Maryland, who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene George Preston Sr. and Anna Elizabeth Fissel; and his brothers, Lewis and Eugene. He is survived by: his wife Martha Walter Preston; his sons, James and Martin; his daughter-in-law Melissa; and his granddaughters, Amanda and Julia.
Jim was active in Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, the Boy Scouts of America, the Anne Arundel Retired School Personnel Association, and Severn Cross Roads Foundation, serving in many leadership roles.
