As Janet departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janet. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Alexander Catena and Maria Antonia "Antoinette" Grieco; her son David Ambrose; and her sister Vivian Neuweiler. She is survived by: her sons, Michael of San Francisco, CA and Joseph (Patricia) of Hydes, MD; and her sisters, Dolores Grieco of Oyster Bay, NY and Veronica Fluken (Ronnie) of San Rafael, CA. She is also survived by her family and by the many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hardesty Funeral Home - Gambrills (851 Annapolis Rd, Gambrills, MD 21054). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church (1070 Cecil Ave S, Millersville, MD 21108). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at the Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery.
