She is survived by: her son Matthew Simmons (Shawn); her grandchild Russell; and her siblings, Douglas Shannon, Janice Wohlwend (Harvey), Susan Shannon (Dan Sandhaus), David Shannon (Aleta) and Erin Shannon (Ken Ow).
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
