She was predeceased by: her father James Aubrey Howes; and her sister Dawn Marie Zinsser (Howes). She is survived by: her husband Ronald Thomas Dwyer; her children, Ronald T. Dwyer II and Jamie Lynn Harper (Charles); her grandchildren, Brianna Noel of Germantown and Gabriele Marie of Germantown; her nephew Cody Zinsser; her nieces, Kayla of Poolesville, MD. and Kacie Zinsser of Poolesville, MD.; and her mother Mary E. Howes-Benesh of Hagerstown, MD..
