It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lela Durene Wagner (Germantown, Maryland), who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Lannie Samford; her husband Ernest Elmer Wagner; and her son Ernest Wagner Jr.. She is survived by : her children, Gail Anderson (Henry) and Lannie Wagner (Judy); her sister-in-law Marjorie Wagner Butler; and her daughter-in-law Diane DiGiovanni. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great grandchildren.

In 2020 Lela moved with her daughter and son-in-law to Cornelius, North Carolina and resided with them during the pandemic.
