He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Eckart and Laura Eckart; his wife Mary; and his siblings, Julius E. Eckart and Betty Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Glenn "Mike" Eckart (Dawn), Edana "Donnie" and Jo-Ann Eckart; his grandchildren, Jen Herson (Adam) and Tim Silate; his great grandchild Max Herson; and his sisters, Laura (Albert) and Lorena. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
