He is survived by: his children, Gretchen Michaels (Robert), Michael IV (Lisa) and Laura Reiners (Robert); his grandchildren, Charles, Caroline Dausch (Fabian Orban), Robert, Kaitlin, Sean, Brendan Reiners, Abigail Michaels Hope-Hull (Joseph) and Benjamin Michaels; his brother John Kurtz Dausch (Sally); his pet Winston; his children, Gustav Kurtz, Jr. (Jeannine) and Susan Lechner (Richard); his grandchildren, Alexandria Kurtz Gable (Austin), Gustav Kurtz III, Allen Lechner (Crystal) and Luke Lechner (Adriana); his great grandchildren, August, Audra Gable and Arthur Lechner; Elsa Felten (Douglas).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (308 Oak Manor Dr, Glen Burnie, MD 21061).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Lutheran Mission Society Compassion Place (601 Hammonds Lane, Baltimore, MD 21225, http://www.compassionplace.org.) – ministering to the needs of the body with food, clothing, and shelter, and to the needs of the soul.
