It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Lee Pettis III (Glen Burnie, Maryland), who passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Rudolph Hill; his grandparents, William Pettis Sr. and Charlotte Pettis; and his sister Marla. He is survived by: his children, Phillip, Donnell and Taylor; his mother Violet Frances Pettis of Pumphrey; and his uncle Alexander Pettis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a plethora of friends and family.
