He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smyth and Ellen Smyth; and his sisters, Rosemary Bartholomew and Teresa Pearson. He is survived by: his son Brian; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Scarlett, Patrick, Brendan, Joe, Roman, Duncan and Hank.
