She was predeceased by: her former husband Joseph; her daughter-in-law Kathleen; her grandson Nathan; her siblings, Eddie, Francis and Ethel; and her parents, Adolph Blash and Agnes Blash.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin (Lisa Borek) of Glenwood, MD and Gregory Borek of Frederick, MD; her grandchildren, Evan Borek of Glenwood, MD, Travus Borek of Longmont, CO, Jordan Borek, Johnathan Borek of Leadville, CO and Madeline Shaw (Tyler) of Thurmont, MD; her great grandchildren, Lenora, Judah and Joshua Shaw; her sister Nellie Peterson of Florida; and her husband Joe.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE 19930). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (32112 Vines Creek Rd, Dagsboro, DE 19939).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Helen's name.
