The memory of Calvin Wilt of Grantsville, Maryland, who passed away on October 15, 2025 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the vast expanse of eternity, Calvin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Calvin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loman Wilt and Lola Wilt Hay (Hoover). He is survived by: his wife Dixie Wilt (Hiles); his children, Calvin Platter (Cynthia) of Springs, PA, Richard Wilt (Barb) of Friendsville, MD and Sharon Mishler of Salisbury, PA; and his grandchildren, Terry, Tracy, Mark and Bailee. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
