We bid farewell to Wayne Platter of Grantsville, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 2, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Platter and Margaret Platter (Snyder); his wife Kathleen Platter (Bluebaugh); and his brother Marvin Platter. He is survived by: his children, David Platter (Pam) of Oakland, MD, Keith Caple of Oakland, MD and Christine Brown (Chad); his sister Carolyn Jones of Frostburg, MD; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Austin, Allison Brown, Callen and Brenley Platter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
