He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Costigan Brien; and his sister Patricia Shade. He is survived by: his father Thomas Joseph Brien (Pam) of Lexington Park, MD; his sons, Calvin Brien (Megan) of Alexandria, VA and Elvis Brien of Lexington Park, MD; his stepchildren, Daniel Spooner, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD, Cameron Mattingly (Shelbee) of Valley Lee, MD and Kaylee Mattingly of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Lainey Brien, Boden Mattingly, Averie Spooner, Dayton Spooner, Parker Burnette and Graylen Spooner; his brother Steve Kennedy of Hobbsville, NC; and his pets, Ryker and Roxanne.
