He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Parkes-Ray; his brothers, Richard Ray, Lewis Ray and Gerry Ray; and his granddaughter Jane Ray.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Ray (Lisa) and Tammy Ray-Mullins; and his sister Virginia "Sissy" Kinard. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
