He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Boyd and Pearl Quillen Boyd; his son Randy Boyd; and his siblings, Clifton, Robert, Charles, James I. Sr., Shirley Boyd Tribbitt and Hazel Boyd Kibler.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Boyd; his daughter Marsha Saathoff (John); his grandchildren, Julie MacDonald (Anthony), Allan Saathoff and Mary Boyd; and his great grandchild Lennox MacDonald.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home (106 W Sunset Ave, Greensboro, MD 21639). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
