He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton H. Porter and Kathleen B. Porter; his aunts and uncles, Richard Porter, Alberta Porter Weer Gelletly, Eleanor Richards, Charles Richards, Ruth Porter, Alton R. "Dutch" Brubaker and Ruby Brubaker; and his cousin Dale Brubaker.

He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Palmer (Walt) of Denton; his uncle Arthur Porter of Denton; and his aunt Leona Porter of Denton. He is also survived by seven cousins; and three step-cousins.
