He was predeceased by: his parents, Alta E. Martin and Leroy Horst; and his grandson Gene Wiles. He is survived by: his wife Doris Shafer Martin; his children, Cindy L. Kirby (James) of Clear Spring, MD, A. Duane Martin (Sharon) of Clear Spring, MD, Cathy S. Martin (Matthew) of Sellersville, PA and Angel D. Gross (Kevin) of Smithsburg, MD; his grandchildren, James Kirby III (Allison), Jessica Harshman (Hunter), Benjamin Martin (Aurielle), Robert Martin (Nicole), Tessa Babler (Jake), Macayla Martin (Forrest), Darius Hardy Gross, Cierra Lane Gross, Madeline Rose, Ella Gross, Chanz Flores Gross and Taylor Gross; and his siblings, Steve Ardinger, Mary Clouser (Don), James, David, Terry and Jeff Horst (Vickie).
