Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Barbara for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell F. Hillyard and Betty V. Hillyard (Pike); her husband Albert Paul Laface; her granddaughter Hannah Marie; and her brother Robert E. Hillyard.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy M. Merchant (Bobby); her siblings, Lori L. Miller (Brian) and Steven R. Hillyard (Suzee); and her pet Lucy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as several close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home (1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
