He was predeceased by: his parents, Justine West (Mills) and Walter West; and his siblings, Justine Fleming, Franklin West and Walter West.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette West; his children, Carmen Minor, Lisa Cairo-West (Bradley), Jessica West and Kevin West; and his sister-in-law Louise West. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
