He is survived by: his wife Mary Patton; his children, Kimberly Patton of Baltimore, Melissa Proctor (Mark) of Hagerstown, Richard Lance Stump Jr. (Kelly) of Smithsburg, Ashley Patton (Jonathan Hudson) of Mercersburg Pa, Shawn Patton of Hagerstown, Blake Patton of Iwakuni Japan and Deborah "Hailey" Patton of Hagerstown; his grandchildren, Sierra, Alicia, Mark Jr., Lily, Victoria, Kayla, Richard "Lance" Stump III, Noah, Jacob and Cooper; his siblings, Debbie L. Golden, Lisa M. Caple, Robin L. Braswell, Lucy M. Conroy, Dixie L. McCusker, Philip W. Butcher and Robert C. Caple Jr. As; and his close friends, Tommy Day, Robin "Rob" Smith, Marie Thompson, Tammy Snyder (Bill) and Bobby Kegarise. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
