Carl G. Paylor Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl G. Paylor of Hagerstown, Maryland, born in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Maynard Paylor (Whitey) and Lois Ott Paylor; and his siblings, Eston Paylor, Jo Anne Harr and Arlene Nesbitt.
He is survived by: his daughter Joleen Ommert Spickler (Michael); his grandchildren, Derek Ommert (Suzanne) of Raleigh, NC and Ashley Sowers (Jeremy) of Frederick, MD; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Grayson, Hudson, Easton and Olivia; his sister Sherry Paylor of Camp Hill, PA; and his nephew Craig Paylor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church (121 N 2nd St, Mcconnellsburg, PA 17233). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Korean War Veterans Association Antietam Chapter 312, the Fulton County Medical Center Foundation, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
