He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Mades and Naomi S. Mades; his sister Nancy Gracia; and his son Mark Mades. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Mike Mades (Laura) and Melissa Weber (Mark); his daughter-in-law Susan Mades; his grandchildren, Whitney Mades, Hannah Krug (Mike), Matt Weber (Sara), Will Mades (Jessie), Zach Weber (Jordan), Kaitlyn Mades (Shane), Mary Caroline Mades, Josh Mades (Hannah) and Joe Mades; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Harris, Kenzie, Vera, Cameron, Colton, Jameson, Harper and Mason.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Minnich Funeral Home (415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
