He is survived by: his wife Helen Embly; his children, Joan O'Brien (Kevin) and Charles Embly, Jr.; his daughters-in-law, Brenda Embly and Melita Wishard; his grandchildren, Curtis Neikirk, Paul Neikirk, Michael Neikirk, Matthew Neikirk, Crystal Cavinder, Audra Embly and Holly Embly; his great grandchildren, Bradley Myers, Casey Myers, Leland Neikirk, Adam Sheets, Nicholas Neikirk, Mikaila Neikirk, Kayden Neikirk, Kinslee Neikirk, Justin Brown, Scott Brown, Jr. and Randy Brown; and his great great grandchildren, Brantley, Mia, Haevyn, Bindi Myers and Olivia Brown.
