He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Lee and Henrietta Lapole (Burger); his wife Kathryn "Kitty" Lapole; and his son Thomas Wayne Lapole. He is survived by: his children, JoAnne Staley (Arlie), Brian Lapole (Nena) and Lachen Harbaugh (Ryan); his grandchildren, Benjamin Lapole (Sarah), Carmen O'Berry (Charlie), Solomon Jenkins, Brock Lapole and Jackson Harbaugh; and his brothers, William (Tina), Dennis (Ruthann), David (Lee) and Richard (Tracey).
