With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Elizabeth Delauter Crone of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on February 1, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Leslie Delauter and Gladys Regina Phelps Delauter; her spouse Glenn Elwood Crone; her son Jeffrey Alan Crone; her siblings, Gladys Marie Smith, Shirley Regina Foreman, Annabelle M. Hay, Nancy L. Baker and Roy Leslie Delauter, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Woodrow W. Hay, John C. Foreman, Harry W. Baker, Frank T. Murphy, Jr. and Arline H Bowland; her nieces, Beverly Foreman Beall and Marcia Baker Roberson; and her nephew Dennis T. Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Glynda K. Fisher of Hagerstown and Mark Elwood Crone (Janie Christine) of Frederick; her grandchildren, Cara Fisher Kidwiler (John W.) of Keedysville, MD and Andrew Mills Crone of Reston, VA; her great grandchildren, Casi L. Axline-Kidwiler, Keegan Nevin Kidwiler (Sarah), Evan Glenn Crone and Kaden George Kidwiler; her great great grandchildren, Myles Edward Rhodes and Wyonna Ann Kidwiler; her siblings, Delores J. Murphy of Frederick and Richard E. Delauter (Judith Dawn) of Frederick; and her siblings-in-law, Lee E. Smith of Jefferson, MD and Ruby L. Delauter of Conway, SC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
